The challenge was to develop a multi-page publication system that demonstrated proficiency in complex grid and compositional structures. The project required a cohesive system that worked across branding, magazine covers, and interior spreads to tell a consistent visual story.
A three-part magazine series investigating the rising incidents of animals exposed to drugs and alcohol. To tell this story, I used a deliberate visual divide in the layout. The left side remains white and restrained, presenting the facts of the incident in a straightforward way. The right side is saturated with dominant color and contrasting text, shifting the tone to the broader ecological consequences and altered animal behaviors.
