BRIEF

The goal was to redesign an existing brand’s packaging using a typography-first approach. the challenge was to create a cohesive system that managed complex information hierarchy through refined type and imagery. The objective was to take a familiar product and give it a fresh, intentional direction for a new audience.
APPROACH

Most knife packaging looks exactly the same, so I chose to break that cycle. By focusing on a Chef’s knife, Peeling knife, and Cleaver, I created a design that hints at each tool’s specific use directly on the box. Rather than focusing on surface-level aesthetics, I used typography to deliver a clear message and invite interaction. This approach explains the "why" behind each tool, turning a simple box into a functional guide.
