For Nandita Kumar’s installation at Prix ARS Electronica, we had to design a poster that reflected the visual language established in my book, incorporating elements from section titles like Water, Air, and more. The poster needed to feature all 91 quotes from her book, sourced from renowned personalities and organizations.
Following the success of the installation and the positive response to the poster, we were commissioned to create a newspaper for the next festival, Rewire.
The installation evokes a newspaper press stuck in an eternal loop. Inspired by this and mosaic patterns, we created a circular grid, assigning colors to each section and experimenting with the layout of each text box and the overall composition to create a more engaging flow. The text in the book has a non-aligned distribution, which we mirrored in the poster and newspaper design. For the newspaper, we integrated the grid into the title for better flow, while keeping the poster more subtle by leaving it out, preserving its visual simplicity.
